INDEPENDENT FILM ON THE AIR!
About the Event
WAMC Northeast Public Radio and Upstate Independents (UI) present a diverse selection of short films by Capital Region film and video artists. The screening will be held in the Linda Norris Auditorium at the WAMC Performing Arts Studio on May 1 at 7:00 p.m. Admission is $5.00. A panel discussion with the filmmakers will follow the screening, giving the audience a chance to discuss the filmmakers' work and to learn about independent filmmaking. The panel will be moderated by Alexandra Kalmanofsky, the Artistic Film Director at Images Cinema, a non-profit art house in Williamstown, MA. Two of the filmmakers, Mike Camoin and Terry Field, will talk about the upcoming event LIVE on WAMC's RoundTable, on April 28 from 11:07-11:20 a.m. Excerpts from the actual event will air on The RoundTable on May 5 starting at 9:47AM. This event was made possible through the generous support of the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA).
