Filmmaker Bio - Terry Field
Albany-based, Writer/Producer, Terry J. Field has been working in the film business for over 25 years. Field has won numerous awards working throughout the United States, in South America and the Far East on features, documentaries, shorts, commercials, and industrial films including the dramatic short, Waste of Candy shot in Saratoga Springs, New York. Field was a producer on HBO’s Actual Jokes series and also owns the Capital Region’s largest independent video store, Super Video, in Albany, New York.

Filmmaker Bio - Frank D'Andrea
After graduating in 1989 with B.B.A in Accounting from Siena College, Frank moved west where he began his film career as a production assistant on the feature film Neon City. Over the next nine years he worked his way up through the film ranks and gained the necessary experience to make the jump to director and producer. In 1998 Frank worked with Altar Rock Films, to develop and produce speculative comedy shorts that were marketed and sold to HBO. In 1999 he co-wrote and directed the award winning short film Waste of Candy. The film went on to play at festivals around the world and along the way won a Humanitarian Award at Cleveland International Film Festival. It has just been licensed by the New York State Police as part of their effort to combat drinking and driving. In 2001 he produced the feature film Dorian Blues for Director Tennyson Bardwell. While creating his film career, Frank also successfully ran his Saratoga Springs restaurant, D'Andrea's Pizza, which he sold in March. Frank is now spending time in Sydney, Australia developing an international film company with Belgium Producer Karel Sagers.

Upstate Independents, a salon of the Association of Independent Video and Filmmakers, is a network of over 130 Capital Region independent filmmakers, screenwriters, actors, and media artists. Meetings are open to the public, and both amateurs and professionals are welcome.
